X.25 calls and data transmissions are sent across the Passport WAN (PANL). This application requires that you configure the physical ports (synchronous serial interfaces) on the Passport unit for X.25 services. Also, you must configure virtual ports for X.25 services. These virtual ports can be SVCs or PVCs. These virtual ports handle the X.25 connections across the WAN. One PANL virtual circuit (SVC, PVC) handles all X.25 calls between any two Passport 4400 units.
