Enabling and Setting Traps

This section discusses the following:

The Passport 4400 can generate SNMP trap messages for a variety of events and alarm conditions. The trap messages can be directed to a single network management (NMS) workstation, or to multiple destinations. The destinations can be password-protected if desired. Use the Configurator or CLI procedure below to enable trap generation.
