PANL and Passport 6400 Interworking

Passport 6400 nodes direct PANL traffic across the Passport network, providing PANL switching functions (see the illustration below). In addition, PANL connections to a Passport 6400 node gives your Passport 4400 access to a variety of interworking services, including the following:

• Network management services, including Network Management Core Router (NMCR) functionality
• Voice services and applications, including channel associated signaling and hunt groups
• ISDN BRI interworking with ISDN BRI tie trunk or ISDN PRI.
