Configurator Procedure for Configuring the NAC/NAS

Note

Note: Every Passport 4400 unit is a potential NAS server as well as a NAC client.

A NAC client may use the NAS within its own unit as its primary (or secondary) server.


To configure the NAC/NAS and its associated cache, the tasks listed in the table below must be performed:

  1. Adding a NAC Cache (entry)

Add a static entry in the local cache by DNA and phone number.

 

  1. Adding a NAC Server

Assign a primary and a secondary NAC server by address and name.

 

  1. Modifying a NAC Server (NAS)

Modify a NAS that has already been added.

  1. Displaying NAC Cache Parameters

View the settings for a static entry that has been added in the local cache.

Optional

  1. Displaying NAC Server Parameters

View the settings for a NAC server that has already been added or modified.

Optional

  1. Deleting a NAC Cache

Delete a static entry in the local cache.

Optional

  1. Deleting a NAC Server

Delete a previously added NAS server.
