Defining the NAC

Use this command to assign a customer ID and to specify the size of the NAC cache of the local Passport 4400 unit. These commands are not supported by Configurator.

CLI> define nac

customerId

numCacheEntries

CLI> define nac customerId

<CustomerId>

INTEGER (1..99)

Enter an integer between 1 and 99. This integer will identify the local Passport 4400 unit as belonging to a unique customer group. It will then be able to access only those users who belong to this customer group.


CLI> define nac numCacheEntries

Parameter

<NumCacheEntries>

INTEGER (100..1000)

Specify the maximum number of address resolutions to be stored in the cache by entering a number between 100 and 1000.


Note

Note: All Define commands take effect after the changes have been saved and the Passport 4400 unit has been reset.
