The Dial Digit Time Limit parameter is used to specify the maximum time (from the start of one digit to the start of the next) for accepting dialed digits. When the time limit is reached, further digits are not accepted, and the accumulated digits are forwarded to the remote voice channel. This option works in conjunction with the ingress and egress tables and their respective manipulation strings to allow users to dial a single number to reach a site accessed through multiple extensions. The range of values is stated in tenths of a second (0.1 second). The default setting is 100 tenths of a second (10 seconds). This allows a person time to pause and check a number being dialed. When using pulse dialing, the parameter must be set for 2 seconds (20 tenths of a second) or more to accommodate the high-order digits, such as 8 or 9.
