Data Link Control Protocols

The SNA services support the following data link control protocols:

SDLC connects SNA components to the network using a dedicated link. LLC2 allows SNA components to connect to the network through an Ethernet Local Area Network (LAN). Both data link protocols allow a number of messages to flow in one direction before receiving a response. They also detect errors and retransmit data.
