SNA Over SDLC

The following configuration procedure assumes that the port chosen for SNA over SDLC operation has already been configured for mode (DCE/DTE), baud, encode method, frame relay, and tunnel parameters (netlink).

  1. Set the port for SDLC operation.
  2. Select Configure and Physical Interfaces from the navigation menu:

    Select the type of port (serial, ISDN, CSU) you want to configure for SNA SDLC operation. Then, select the physical port (example screens shown are from Passport 4460 units):

    You will see the Physical Port Configuration screen. The parameters that need your attention at this point are:

Click on the Save button. "Command Successful" should be displayed when the unit finishes setting the configuration.

Continue on to step 2.
