The best results are obtained when using the following combination:

Microsoft Internet Explorer 4 or 5, with a display of 800 by 600 pixels minimum resolution and capable of displaying 32,000 colors or more.

Here is how to get the best results from the browser you are using:

Microsoft Internet Explorer 4 or 5

The normal browser setup works best.

Microsoft Internet Explorer 3

You should set the browser to disable using style sheets:

  1. Select View -> Options and select the Advanced tab.
  2. Uncheck the box next to Use style sheets.
  3. Click on the Apply button.

When the style sheet is disabled, the browser's default font set is used to display the text.

Also, you should choose the No Frames option from the Configuring and Operating the Passport 4400 Software startup page. The frameset for the Configuring and Operating the Passport 4400 Software documentation might not be stable in Microsoft Internet Explorer 3. You may encounter pages being displayed outside of the frameset.

Netscape 6

The normal browser setup works best.

Netscape Communicator 4.02, 4.5, 4.6, 4.7

The normal browser setup works best. If you encounter display problems, you should set the browser to disable using style sheets:

  1. Select Edit -> Preferences and select Advanced.
  2. Uncheck the box next to Enable style sheets.
  3. Click on the OK button.

Mosaic 3

The normal browser setup works best. However, Mosaic 3 does not support frames or cascading style sheets. The browser's default font set is used to display the text. Also, when you access the Configuring and Operating the Passport 4400 Software documentation with Mosaic 3, you will see a message that the browser does not support frames. Just click on the link provided to use the documentation without the frameset.
