add ip address entry

Use add ip address entry to assign an IP address to the Passport 4400 unit. This command will not take effect until the unit is reset.

<IfIndex>

:INTEGER (1..255)

Indicates the IfIndex of the port you are configuring.

<IPAddress>

:IPAddress

Indicates the IP address which you assign to the Passport 4400 unit.

<NetMask>

:Sub-NetMask (255.255.255.0.255.255.0.0 or 255.0.0.0)

Enter the subnet mask. The bits of the subnet mask are set to 1 if the Passport 4400 should treat the corresponding bit in the IP address as part of the IP network prefix.

<BcastAddress>

:IPAddress

The IP address that you assigned to this Passport 4400 unit for transmission to all the other Passport units in the network.
