This Customer Support Bulletin is to alert End User Customers on the XLR1298SF CPU module System Clock functionally. Please note that the System Clock and the Real Time Clock is the same clock.

Discussion:

Nortel Networks has discovered the System Clock on the XLR1298SF CPU module is not functional with Accelar 1000 series software release 1.3.0. Customer attempting to configure the System Clock through the CLI will see the following messages

Config setdate xxxxxxxx ‘real time clock is not present"

Date ‘real time clock is not present

Resolution:

Customers that have this issue can upgrade the XLR1298SF CPU module with Accelar software release 1.3.1, which corrects this problem. Customer can down load the Accelar 1000 series software 1.3.1 from the Nortel Networks Support & Service Web site (http://support.baynetworks.com).
